Ceremony at Central Park – East Ham

On 11th April 2016 we attended at Commemorative Stone Ceremony for the WW1 hero, Second Liutenant Edgar K Myles who is a Victoria Cross Award Recipient for an act of bravery. The Victoria Cross is the highest military award for bravery in the face of the enemy.

Three of our children attended the ceremony and they met and took a photo with another Victoria Cross recipient for bravery, Johnson Beharry.

Our children also visited the exhibitions to remember the other local First World War heroes like Jack Conwell, from Manor Park, who is also a Victoria Cross recipient for his acts of bravery.
